Huh? What? The Coolest Designers on the Planet are at the Gap?
The latest limited edition capsule collection from The Gap x GQ collection consists of eight sweatshirts, one crewneck and seven hoodies, created by the eight designers. This year, Gap invited Balmain, Dsquared2, MSGM, No Vacancy Inn, Officine Générale, Opening Ceremony, Stampd and Surf is Dead to design their take on the classic Gap sweatshirt. Designed to their brand aesthetic, each designer incorporated their own logo alongside the Gap logo with custom colour palette, graphics and silhouette. The collection features some great riffs on classic logo hoodies from the Gap from some great designers…but coolest on the planet? Nah. But some are worth copping. My picks?
The collection is available starting November 28th, at select Gap stores in more than seven countries, including the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and throughout Europe. It will also be available online at www.gapcanada.ca. The collection ranges from $74.95 to $158.
