There are few items that I amass in collections: most notably shoes and scents.
I know many men’s fashion/style blogs like to write reviews about the best Summer and Winter fragrances. I hate rules like this – I think you should wear a fragrance based on how you feel that day or how you want to feel at that moment. This means I sometimes wear really warm and spicy scents in the summer and cool crisp scents in the winter.
So for the men who still follow the rules, this fragrance is good for summer. For the rest of us, wear it when you want to feel fresh yet astringent – no matter the time of year. Either way, you should have (untitled) by maison martin margiela in your roster. But if you are scared that a unisex scent will undermine your masculinity – don’t buy this scent (and perhaps stop reading my blog).
(Untitled) is part of the replica series of scents by Margiela. On the outside, it’s a simple bottle looking like it’s been dipped in white paint – minimal. On the inside it’s a raw floral woody green fragrances. (Untitled) is at once, clean, fresh and astringent, eschewing the floral hallmarks of contemporary perfumes and harking back to 1970a′s trends, such as Chanel’s Nº19. Built on a base of galbanum and accented with notes of incense, bitter orange and box green, (untitled) develops with time, the base notes of the scent settling into a deeper, woody aroma of sweet jasmine and musky cedar.
Available through SAKS in the US or Hudson Bay in Canada
