Say What? A gingerbread eggnog martini? Yes, that is what I said. And may I add that it is very delicious. You definitely need to add this cocktail into your holiday cocktail/ drinking repertoire. It is easy to make and everyone will want seconds.
Now I have to admit that I am not normally a huge eggnog fan. In fact, I have avoided it for most of my life…but why? Honestly I don’t know anymore.
It seems there are two secrets to enjoying eggnog. First, you want to source and procure a high quality handmade/homemade eggnog option. These are far superior to anything you will find in a cartoon at a grocery store. And don’t worry, you don’t actually have to make your own. There are lots of delicious local options. I opted for a gingerbread version to make it even more delicious. Second, you just need to add in lots of booze.
This just might be quintessential Christmas in a glass. So while the kids tear open their gifts, just sit back and drink a few of these babies. It will be a Very, Merry Christmas after all. Let Dad worry about the kids.
