One of the earliest vodka-cocktail recipes created in the US, this simple tipple dates back to the 1930s. The Gypsy Queen is one of my go-to cocktails for fall. This cocktail is the perfect blend of the sweet yet herbal flavours of Benedictine cut with the neutrality of a good vodka ( I use to Belvedere). It is herbal yet refreshing – always makes me think of fall. Here is my recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz / 60 ml Belvedere Vodka
- 1 oz / 30 ml Benedictine
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake.
- Strain into a per-chilled coupe glass.
- No garnish.
- Enjoy.
- Repeat.
