I have to admit that I was never a big rum fan until I spent a few months during grad school in Havana Cuba. It was sink or swim lol. Discover your love for rum or live on beer. Rum won in the end. And the drink that turned me was the classic mojito. Now this may seem obvious but remember, I am old. This was back in 2002 before the return of classic cocktails – a time where rum and cokes (rc cola in Havana) were the dominant rum drink then. Thank goodness we have changed.
Now over the years I have tried many plays on the classic mojito but this one with the hint of cardamom is my current favorite.
