Apparently everything and everyone has a National day and I am all for it. Why not? Today is National Rum Day. Which nation to be exact? I am not even sure but I do like rum. Who doesn’t? To help you celebrate the day, I have tried out a few great recipes care of Appleton Estate. My favourite is the Jamaican Mule.
Note: I swapped out the Appleton Estate’s Signature blend for the Reserve blend from the original recipe. Why? I prefer the flavor. The Appleton Estate Reserve Blend is rich with oak, nutmeg, and smoky spices. It is an aromatic blend of 20 rums, with two from very rare reserve stocks. It is these rare and special rums that give Reserve its delicious complexity. It’s just plain yummy on it’s own or in craft cocktails.
Make one today and celebrate rum.
