As you all know by now, I heart Vivienne. And no, I am not some johnny-come-lately who fell for her after that Sex in the City escapade. I have always loved her early days – the punk era of the World’s End boutique. Strange from a guy who would be labelled preppy before punk but its true. I have often hunted for pieces from her past collection, now the hunt ends thanks to Opening Ceremony getting into bed with Vivienne Westwood. The two are collaborating to bring back some of Westwood’s most iconic punk and pirate fashions. Included in the capsule collection is a Clint Eastwood-inspired bomber from her 1984 collection, as well as the classic Drunken Anarchy button-down. The collection seems as fresh and relevant today as it did in the early 1980s. The capsule collection will be available February 9 exclusive at Opening Ceremony’s New York, Los Angeles and online. Get your before it’s gone. Arggh who doesn’t want to be a pirate?
