Leave to Maison Martin Margiela to reinvent everyday objects in clever, or even frustrating ways as part of their Objets series. First they introduced a snow globe containing nothing (among other objets) and now the Claustrophobia Notebook. I can’t wait to gift this to someone.
That’s right, the all white notebook is bounded by two spirals that prevent its opening. To release the pages and use them, one must rip one side of the cover and so on for each page. It reminds me of the French seamed book I designed for grad school where you were forced to tear the beautiful hand bound book’s pages to see its contents.
