I have always been a big gin drinker but have to admit that tequila is quickly becoming my new favourite. Maybe this is the beginning of my Hunter S. Thompson midlife crisis and maybe this is my gateway to peyote or something else. Maybe not.
This recipe comes from Chef Arturo Anhalt at of my favourite watering holes: Milagro Cantinas.
- 1 oz Cazadores Añejo Tequila
- 1 oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- ¼ oz Martini Dry Vermouth
- ¼ cup English cucumber, diced
- ¼ oz dark agave syrup
- 2 cups ice
- 1 English cucumber round
- 1 lime ledge
1. Chill a martini or wide-rimmed cocktail glass. This should already be in your freezer.
2. Pour spirits and agave nectar into electric blender. Add diced cucumber and puree on high for 30 seconds.
3. Place ice and cocktail mix into steel cocktail shaker. Shake well.
4. Using a strainer, pour mixture into chilled glass.
5. Garnish with cucumber round and lime wedge.
6. Drink
7. Repeat
