By now you must know that when I return from my time in New Orleans, I bombard you with all the great new cocktails I have tasted in the city that invented the cocktail. First it was the Jesus H Christ from Maurepas Foods, now the Orange Lazarus from Sylvain. It’s refreshing – the perfect summer cocktail. (PS the food at Sylvain is amazing – for those who like to eat).
Recipe
- .75 oz Hayman’s Old Tom Gin
- .75 oz St Germain
- .5 oz Aperol
- 1 oz Freshly squeezed orange juice
- .25 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake.
- Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
- Drink.
- Repeat.
