Santa Maria Novella traces its roots back to1221 in Florence, when Italian monks started developing herbal remedies and potions for their monastery. The product soon became well known and in 1612, due to demand, they opened a pharmacy. It’s actually the oldest, still operational, pharmacy in the world. And Santa Maria Novella’s dedication to natural ingredients and quality hasn’t changed.
