Much of my childhood was spent playing with buckets and buckets of Lego. And my mother can tell you that I hated working in more than one colour at a time – I dreamed of a monochromatic life. Monochromatic buildings to be more precise, as I had no desire to build a spaceship or a car. I left that to the boys who mixed their coloured blocks of Lego. So while much of my childhood was spent sorting all my Lego into separate bins of individual colours (you can now easily see where my love of non-colour and almost fascist like approach to design comes from); my life as an adult needs no such tedious task thanks to Lego’s new Architecture Studio. And it’s all white. Deus Ex Machina.
So go buy your own set because, just as in childhood, you can’t borrow my Lego. I don’t share well. Included with the Architecture Studio set is a 272-page inspirational guidebook for learning from some of the world’s most renowned architects. The set is available now for $150 straight from Lego
ps I love that the Lego site tags them as girls, architecture, new, buildings.
