Rado is a watch brand that often falls under the radar. It’s a quiet luxury – no bling, no flashy logo. But ever since the 1980s and the introduction of their Ceramica line, the brand has established itself as an iconic watch that is as modern today as when the Ceramica line was first introduced. It’s classic 80s perfection.

Now, I will admit that the price point is lower than your average luxury watch – say $2500 and up but as I have stated many times before, it’s not about the price. It’s about design. What I love about the Rado is that it looks like nothing special – it’s minimal and its luxury comes from the choice of materials. The line features beautifully designed watches that only a discerning eye will recognize. Rado owners wear the watch because they know it’s cool not because they want other people to think it’s cool. Every watch collector should own one. So next time you see some pretentious twit showing off his gold Cartier, you will smirk and realize he has never heard of Rado (or Patek Philippe or…) and has no idea about true luxury watches, he only knows about gold jewellery.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
