Polka Dots for Spring

Image

Many men I know seem to have a signature pattern. Hold up, let me clarify, most men have a signature pattern but have no idea that they do. Go look in your closet, look for any pattern that seems to repeat amongst your shirts. I bet for most of you, that signature pattern is plaid. You can stop reading now.

I have seen your closets – a sea of plaids – it’s like a horror film. I run in fear. As someone who has great disdain for most colours, my choice for patterns is often limited (by choice) – a pinstripe, a little bit of camo…depends on the item. But polka dots will always be my go to pattern. In fact, polka dot navy shorts are a staple in my wardrobe and I just may have to add a polka dot blazer to that equation. Enter Kris Van Assche and Bustle.

Love this Kris Van Assche Double Breasted Blazer. Trust me, double breasted is the new must have blazer.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
