I know that I often complain that there are far too many collaborations these days in fashion. Everyone seems to be designfucking together; each further collaboration feels less special and more opportunistic. But Raf Simons and Fred Perry have been in an ongoing collab relationship for over 6 years now. It is a match made in British prep (with an edge) Heaven.

I have long been a fan of Raf Simons (yes, even before his days at Dior and Jil), and I always find one or two items to buy from his namesake line Raf Simons. But Fred Perry by Raf Simons makes it much more affordable. The two brands have now released their F/W 2013 collection.

As a northern-climate resident – we all need a wardrobe of coats – here are two to add to your collection.

Varsity Jacket £495.00 (This coat is much better Bugundy than black even though I always buy black. Trust me)

Duffle Coat £495.00 (Yes, this is cerulean blue. A classic take-notice colour)

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
