Trend Alert: Dino Chic

I have long been a fan of dinosaurs. Actually that’s not true, as a kid I thought they were just alright but as a grown up I appreciate them more…perhaps, as we start to feel like dinosaurs we appreciate them more? Either way, I am happy that men’s fashion has finally become more fun and embraced the dino.

Paul Smith seems to have been doing the dino for years….and now they have launched an entire dino collection for men and women. I bet you can’t pick just one?   Should I go with Navy or Gray?

Spotted these dino spots the other day at Hudson Bay and was immediately drawn to the dino inspired scarf from Paul Smith. It’s fun but can camouflage as serious with a top coat and suit.

Now normally I shy away from Coach. Yes, Yes I know they have changed and they are a heritage brand but I still can’t get over the way they watered down the chic-factor over the years. But perhaps this cheeky tee might change my mind. Would you coach for this?

And if all these dino-funosaur fashions are too much for you, perhaps just add a little dino in your pocket to remind you that you are fierce like an extinct reptile. Hiss! Cop ’em before they go extinct.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
