Store of The Week: Casson Hardware

I have to admit that I have always been a fan of a good hardware store. But Casson Hardware is unlike any hardware store you have walked into. First off, it’s online only so it’s hard to walk into. And secondly, this isn’t wear you find nails or tools but a treasure trove of beautiful hardware. The store was launched by two architects/designers Megan Cassidy and Jane Son out of a need they found in their business. The pair were finding it increasingly difficult to source great knobs, hooks, door hardware, etc… so why not launch a great curated collection of minimalist inspired beauties? And I have to admit that I am glad they did.

If you take a little trip over to Casson hardware, you will discover some great finds for any of your projects (large or small). Here are a few of my favourites:

Seed Hooks, set of 3 for $14.50

Teddy Hooks, from $45

Seed Shelf, $14.50

Catch-All Shelf, $199.50

Brass Rail Shelving, starting at $5300

Sophia Mirror, from $537

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
