There is something quite magical about sleeping in a canopy bed or four poster bed. Sure, it feels like you have stepped back in time or right into a fairy tale. But more so, a canopy (or four poster) bed seems to elevate the sleeping experience. It feels ceremonial. Royal. Extra special. And shouldn’t it be? You spent almost a third (okay maybe a quarter for some of us) of your day in bed. Why not make it magical? Now, in our New Orleans home we have an antique four poster in our master bedroom but I am considering a modern canopy bed or four poster bed for our guest room. There something about the juxtaposition of old and new that always excites me. And why shouldn’t our guests feel like royalty?
Problem! Hunting for a beautiful modern canopy bed isn’t easy. There is a lot of terrible, or just generic, options out there. I have been scouring everywhere but have only come up with 3 I would even consider. And thank you CB2 for offering two of them – good to know someone cares about a modern canopy bed besides me.
