Rudy’s Gets Hard: Bar Soap is Back

I have always been a big fan of old school bar soap. Well maybe not old school, as in the mass market over the counter commercially made bars of soap, that you could buy at your local drugstore in a pack of 8 for $2. But a fan of the idea of a well made bar of soap. Enter one of my favourite brands – RUDY’S. Unlike drug store brands, Rudy’s Body Bars are hand-crafted in small batches with high-quality, natural ingredients that are good for skin and the environment. What I love most about the bar soap is that the creamy lather really nourishes my skin. After my shower I always feel clean without feeling like my skin has been stripped.

RUDY’S Body Bars come in 3 incarnations.

  • The Moisturizing Body Bar contains hydrating cleansers to help restore your skin’s natural moisture balance. I love the classic Rudy’s signature scent in this bar.
  • The Exfoliating Body Bar removes dullness and uneven texture with sea salt and notes of eucalyptus. I love that it gives your body a good scrub via the sea salt.
  • The Detoxifying Body Bar purifies skin by absorbing dirt and oil with activated charcoal. This one is fragrance free.

Each bar weighs in at a healthy 114grams. And for those of us who care…each Body Bar is paraben, sulfate, and cruelty-free. They’re vegan and made with ingredients that are sustainably sourced.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
