Zebra Print: Our Latest Interior Obsession

Zebra Cow Hide, $699 from Zara Home

In a world where interiors are finally becoming fun again, let us add one more print you should consider incorporating into your home. We all love a good floral, some tropicals, a chinoiserie or two or three. But have you considered zebra print? I have to admit that I have always been drawn to the sophisticated black and white pattern of the zebra stripe. Zebra is a classic print that can work in a classically designed home or a modern minimalist. It adds instant glamour into any space – with a touch of whimsy.

Zebra Pillow Cover, $6.99 from H&M
Faux Zebra Rug, $699 from CB2
Carnaby Stacking Trays, $24 from Jonathan Adler

If you are a bit shy about Zebra, perhaps pick some accessories or an affordable smaller rug before you go big. And if you are willing to go all the way, may we suggest the classic Scalamandre wallpaper or fabric. You can never go wrong with Zebra, well almost.  A full set of zebra sheets may look a little to Vegas Hotel.

Scalamdre Wallpaper in Red, $438 per roll

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
