Andrew Coimbra Knows Outerwear

Andrew Coimbra has built a brand on cool streetwear with a luxe, yet cheeky, edge. And he consistently lives up to the unspoken Canadian standard for outerwear. It seems people who have spent much of their lives facing the wintery elements know how to make outerwear that is fashion forward,  not just warm. His latest collection for FW17 has many strong key pieces but the ones I loved most are his coats and jacket.

These convertible coats with seemingly unlimited styling options come in two standard out fabrics. Short, long, hooded or not, I bet you can’t decide which is the best way to wear them. Although I am partial to the black white camo feel, I think I may be leaning towards the shiny silver. You will be sure to see me in those wintery blizzards.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
