Perpetual Motion with SWIMS Motion Mid-Cut

I have always been a fan of SWIMS since I saw my first pair of bright orange galoshes over some slick brogues on Wall Street. But much has changed since those early days of the brand and the assortment has grown exponentially. The brand recently dropped their FW17 collection; heavy in great footwear and some new bags. I instantly fell for the modern slip on sneaker they are calling the Motion Mid-Cut.

What I like about the Motion Mid-Cut is that it falls in line with recent trends of fashion forward sneakers that don’t hide their tech. This kick is built with not only style in mind but comfort – and to keep you dry. Combining advanced technology with urban style creates a shoe that is feather light and super comfortable. The waterproof membrane will keep you dry and warm while the knitted and molded technique used on the upper will keep you comfortable in style. This Mid-Cut would look great with a pair of denim or some cropped chinos. This is what we like about the new athleisure movement – fashion forward sneakers that are tech-based.

The Mid comes in three colour ways and is available now for $180 USD/ $220 CAD.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
