As anyone who follows sneaker culture can tell you, it’s all about the collaborations these days. With companies like adidas continually upping the ante with the likes of Kanye and Pharrell, Nike often seems to be playing catch up. But that’s okay – they have Rei and the Kawakubo gang at CDG.
If you managed to catch the latest Comme des Garçons‘ show (SS18), you may have noticed some interesting footwear featuring the swoosh. It looks like there maybe another Nike footwear collab in the works. It was hard to ignore brand’s clothing but if you looked closely enough, it looked like models were rocking the CDG take on Nike’s iconic Air Max 180 silhouette.
The runners seem becoming in a two colorways: a hot barbie pink and bright white, and the same pink paired with a contrast black and red. Now, this may not be the only offering from CDG x NIKE but only a tease of more to come. But I’m about ready to buy the black ones.
