There are certain items I feel every man should own in their wardrobe. As such I have started a new section to this site aptly called The New Icons to examine and share classic designs that should be a part of every modern man’s closet.
The SWIMS Galosh
SWIMS the brand is now known for many different styles of fashion forward shoes that are waterproof or water resistant (and they have even added in great rain gear and swim as of late). But it all started with the lowly galoshes. Now galoshes are nothing new; they have been around for decades upon decades. They are what your dad (and probably his dad before him) wore to keep their pristine leather shoes (brogues not oxfords lol) clean and dry. But Before SWIMS entered this category, they were boring rubber over-shoes. They were generic in colour and bland in style. All this changed when SWIMS re-invented galoshes with great colours (and even great prints). I am pretty sure they even influenced Prada to launch their collection that featured rubber dipped/covered leather shoes. But it all started with SWIMS.
Psst opt for them in a great colour like blue, or orange, or yellow not boring black.
