12 Days of Cocktails: Tequila Caesar

I have always been a big fan of Caesar, they are simply the best hair of the dog during this holiday season. Of course, we all know the classic made with vodka but I have recently become a big fan of tequila based Caesars. I made mine with one of my new favourites: Siempre Tequila.

If you love a classic Caesar, you should really try this one out.

Recipe:

  • highball glass
  • 1 oz. Siempre tequila
  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  • 2 dashes Frank’s Hot Sauce or Tabasco
  • 3 dashes freshly ground salt and pepper
  • 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz. Walter Caesar Mix
  • assorted garnished: (chorizo, lime and lemon wedges, green beans, etc)
  • ice

Directions:

  1. Using the lime or lemon wedge, rim the edge of the glass with juice. Turn glass upside down and coat rim with salt and pepper.
  2. Fill glass with ice. Pour in tequila, Cointreau, hot sauce, salt and pepper, and Worcestershire sauce and top with Clamato juice.
  3. Garnish with slice of Chorizo, lime and lemon wedges, and green bean.
  4. Enjoy.
  5. Repeat.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
