One of my favourite go-to drinks in the cooler months is a Dark n’ Stormy – there is something about the combination of a dark rum and ginger beer that warms the cockles of my heart. But I often find the quality of the cocktail changes drastically dependent upon a good ginger beer and a good dark rum. Luckily for me I had just been deep sea diving last weekend off the coast of Labrador – the icy waters had not yielded any hidden gold as I am sure the pirate ship had long been raided prior to my excursion. But I did discover an ancient bottle of Kraken rum. And let me tell you, it just gets better with age.
Recipe
- 2 part Kraken Rum ( I like mine boozy)
- 3 parts ginger beer
- Lime wedges
Directions
- Combine the rum, ginger beer,and a squeeze of lime juice in a tall glass full of ice cubes.
- Stir.
- Garnish with lime wedge.
- Enjoy.
- Repeat.
