SWIMS Sneaks

The sneaker game keeps getting busier and busier with more and more brands entering the arena with their own version of a fashion sneakers. Most fail – they are often over-priced (if I am going to spend $900 on shoes they are going to be classic leather brogues or oxfords or….not colourful sporty kicks) and uncomfortable. Enter SWIMS and the Anton sneaker.
What I love about this runner is that it maintains a classic silhouette but adds upgraded materials  like calf leather and suede. The soft memo-foam insole and full leather lining make these shoes super comfortable (who knew I would start caring about comfort it footwear). What sets SWIMS apart from other sneakers at this price-point ($200 or so) is the retro styling and modern colour combinations.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
