Andrew Coimbra

Andrew Coimbra has been slowly establishing a solid menswear brand, after his short stint interning with Proenza Schouler and working with our own Philip Sparks. If his previous collections hints at anything we are expecting to see for SS2015, then we should expect refined fabrics, attention to detail and modern cuts. Coimbra is not afraid of using colour and non traditional prints, which is refreshing in the Canadian menswear market. Andrew is never afraid and his collection often has an inherent cool factor. For his SS2015 collection, Andrew draws inspiration from contemporary art and youth culture; he even created custom print fabrics. Here is a sneak peak at what to expect when the collection is released tonight. I am particularly drawn to his play of proportions and shape – mixing streetwear with classic menswear.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
