There are some collaborations that seem to happen for no reason – A.P.C. x Kanye West seems to be one of them. For Fall 2014, the two drew inspiration from Jean Touitou’s military archives and reworked a number of classic pieces. The collection sticks faithfully to the brand’s minimalistic ethos, the resulting collection features a number of staples given a contemporary, militaristic twist. The coats and pants are strong – but they could have been done without Kanye ; the basic tees are classic APC. I love the fitted cargo pants, if you don’t own a pair already then get these ones. It seems the only addition that came from the KWest was the fur. Thank God this is the last time they will bother – Kanye has jumped shit to Adidas. Available at A.P.C. stores on July 17.
