Bricksy: LEGO goes Banksy

Lego is always on the zeitgeist and that has ensure their continued success and longevity. Lego can be used to construct almost anything, which I can attest to as much of my childhood was spent imagining new worlds with my Legos. You may remember last year when photographer Jeff Friesen used the Lego bricks to create 50 States of Lego, a series of photographs of the 50 states of the USA made entirely out of those colorful little bricks.

Now he is back with a new project called Bricksy; Friesen used Lego pieces to recreate 20 famous scenes from Banksy works but with a little bit of his own humor thrown in. For the full collection, visit The Brick Fantastic.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
