You may not remember the legendary House of Bianca from the Drag Balls featured in Paris is Burning but that’s because the house didn’t exist. Rather, House of Bianca is a skate deck line created by Pro Skater Alex Olson, as part of his Bianca Chandôn line. Alex Olson has always been known for his punk type attitude and love of Vivienne Westwood. He bring this love of subversion to his new brand, trying to usurp the hetero-normative culture of Skating through Bianca Chandôn.
The line draws inspiration from drag ball culture, the glory days of disco, Fire Island and campy seventies imagery. For the series of skate decks, Olson has also donated the proceeds to LGBTQ youth group.
