When most eight year olds were picking out the latest running shoes during their back-to-school shopping, I was that kid who always went for the patent leather brogues (or loafers). Yes, I was always a ‘dandy’ and yes, that is a euphemism. The grown up me still has a fondness for black shiny shoes and the kid in me loves these pewter brogues from Doc Marten.
