Smythson of Bond Street has been making leather goods since 1887; they produce understated sophisticated leather pieces crafted to last you a lifetime. If it’s good enough for the Queen (they make leather goods for the Royal Family) then it is good enough for me. My favourite from their current roster: the Eliot Folio is pretty fuckin sweet. Perforated leathery goodness. 
But if you prefer a handle with your bag you can opt for the Elliot Document Case but I find it just too thick for my liking.
