I still remember buying one of the last pairs made of Dior Homme BlackTie sunglasses from the Hedi Slimane era and I have to admit they got me hooked on DiorHomme BlackTie Eyewear. And now I am on the hunt for more but with so many great pairs for Summer 2014 how is a man to decide?

‘BlackTie182S’ sunglasses from the 2014 Summer advertising campaign. A rounded shape in crystal acetate with temples in stainless steel moulded with black rubber to trace the emblematic Dior Homme scar (bet you didn’t know it was called the Dior Scar). The crystal acetate is pretty fucking cool and aggressive – makes me feel like Patty Hewes.

‘BlackTie 143S‘ panto sunglasses in Optyl Blue. You can see that I still have a thing for blue.

But I have saved the best for last, the BlackTie 193S sunglasses feature entirely leather wrapped frames.  Available in black, burgundy and Prussian blue (my choice). Now available in store for a respectable/ridiculous price of  $860 USD. Thank you Kris.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
