Spring Sparks

Image

Philip Sparks has been quietly wooing the Canadian menswear crowd with his understated clean cut tailoring for years. So what’s in store for SS2014?

Philip plays up his specialty, well cut men’s tailored pieces with a contemporary feel that also play with a hint of nostalgia. And lucky for us, some of the initial Spring offerings are already available online. You will want to snatch up the double breasted khaki blazer (pair it with the matching trousers or dark selvedge denim) – trust me, double breasted blazers are showing up all over streets (and streetstyle blogs) but few retailers are doing them right. So buy Sparks, it’s a classic you can wear forever.  And Philip’s take on the hooded mac is a must for the print alone (trust me, the hood always comes in handy). All made in Canada available online and in store.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
