For the third drink of Christmas, my bartender made for me…a Dark N’ Stormy. Actually, you can make this one easily yourself.
The history of this cocktail comes from the British Navy on the open seas near Bermuda – and of course it was dark and stormy. It was created out of what the sailors had on hand – rations of Dark Rum – which they probably had pillaged. Sounds like the typical family holiday to me. Drink up.
- 2oz Dark Rum – Gosling Black Seal Rum is the trademarked classic for this drink
- 3oz Ginger Beer
- Ice
- Fresh Lime
1. Pour rum and ginger beer over ice in a highball glass.
2. Stir
3. Add lime
4. Enjoy
