I believe all successful interiors must include a sense of whimsy or wit – without that, the space falls flat and feels hollow or empty. It looks like it was staged for a magazine. Not that hallow spaces aren’t beautiful to look at but trust me, I have created and lived in a few, they are ultimately unsatisfying. This doesn’t mean you have to include something kitschy (although that sometimes works) but rather include something that is fun and well designed. And most importantly, you.
