I am a huge fan of minimalism and monochromatic living (and dressing). But this task is often harder to accomplish than you may think, especially when it comes to your office space. Who doesn’t like working in an all white work space? It can create quite a blank canvas to create – until you notice your generic pens stick out. And that the only scissors you could find were black or red. Enter Poppin to solve your woes.

Poppin features office supplies and furniture in a variety of colours, from pink to green to blue to black; their mantra is to WORK HAPPY. They even make it shopper friendly by allowing you to shop by colour. Nothing gets me more excited than working at an all white desk with all white accessories. Or in turn, one can imagine a stunning all black work space. And for the rest of you who still love colour -they have you covered as well. But if you are going to go for the pink pens – why not a whole pink office? Karim Rashid would approve.

Available in the US through Poppin or in Canada through Indigo.

Note: This BlogPost emerged when an old colleague stopped me on the street wondering where they could find a white acrylic tray for their desk – a more difficult task than you would expect when you don’t know about Poppin. I guess everyone doesn’t know about the brand Poppin yet (it is only a year old after all).

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
