In 2011, Taschen released a beautiful tome from photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, although beautiful, the price point of $1000 was a bit steep for even my tastes.ImageLucky for us art book whores – they are releasing an edited version for mass consumption in November 2013 for $70.ImageImageIf you don’t know Inez + Vinoodh, you should. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin’s work has graced the walls and pages of some of the world’s finest galleries and fashion magazines. Their strength lies in creating imagery that seeks homes in both culturally elite and mainstream outlets effortlessly. They have become well known for their portraits of celebrities (love the one of Björk) and many fashion campaigns (notably, Givenchy). This book was done in collaboration with the art directors M/M (LOVE THEM). Check out the Inez+Vinoodh website for great video.ImageImage

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
