There are far too many sneaker collaborations these days and most of them leave me wanting to more. Two genius designers/brands collaborate and all I can think is – that’s it? Most designers need to learn, as Madonna and Justin learned, you can’t save the world in 4 minutes or make a decent collaboration just because you are big names. Enter Puma by Mihara Yasuhiro. This latest series of the MY-70 silhouette reincarnated features an asymmetrical dipped two tone design. The use of matte and gloss makes the contrast even stronger. Feels a little Margiela X Brian Jungen. Yup, I just went there. Hurry, they are almost sold out – and I promise you won’t look like everyone else (still sporting New Balance). Or you might just find them culturally offensive…isn’t everything these days? Make your fashion choices wisely.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
