J.Crew seems to be playing the game of highstreet retailer better than anyone else in the field. Just like, Club Monaco, they are branching out to carry more and more brands that they believe in but are not made by J.Crew – intro the Discovered Collection.  One of the only flaws in the collection is the inclusion of New Balance. I love New Balance, I used to even go to the factory in Maine when I was a tike. Hence my question – how is a discovery? NB is everywhere these days (Yes, yes they make great shoes). Putting my qualm aside, the Ebbets Field Flannel Caps are pretty sweet. Ebbets Field Flannels is known for its faithful reproductions of vintage baseball paraphernalia. I can’t decide between these two – will probably buy both.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
