Anyone who knows me, knows that my love of art is one of the few things that surpass my love of fashion. Those same friends will probably say I am addicted to my phone. It goes everywhere with me – I even hear phantom vibrations when it is not there. I swear, this rambling has a point – MyCityMuse.  It combines my love of art with my reliance on my smartphone. Yes, it was made for me but you can use it too.

MyCityMuse is an interactive mobile app that connects users to a network of galleries in any particular city, enabling the user to navigate the local fine arts scene. The app has already been launched in NYC and it has now been officially launched in Toronto (at the Edward Day Gallery).

Using a simple image-based layout, MyCityMuse provides a tailored browsing experience based on users interests and geography. Art enthusiasts are able to seamlessly navigate the latest art exhibits at any given moment, whether in their own neighborhood or traveling abroad. Users have the ability to browse and “share” (to their existing social networks) local and global art pieces, events and exhibitions.

Download it now on itunes – it’s free. And who doesn’t love free.

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers' Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and  literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Referred to as the cat's meow by some, too clever by half by others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus -the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people's dream but it was time to say fuck off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare Unedited.
